Constitutional Amendment

If I could make up one brand new constitutional amendment it would have to state something to the lines of: Bullying and out casting will be prohibited. Nobody is better than the other and there will be serious punishments if you are found committing something to this matter. Too many people these days are taking their life due to the ignorance or other people and it's ridiculous! I believe people would support this, not reject this. I honestly think it's sad that something like this would have to be made up to end this, people shouldn't act this way. But that would be the constitutional amendment that I would create.

Santa Claus

More than anything do I wish I still believed in Santa. I loved the excitement it brought Christmas Eve, I would stay up as late as I could trying to hear him land on our roof. I would always fall asleep and be disappointed that I didn't get to hear him. We would either leave carrots or cookies and the next morning they would always be gone! I would get so excited to see them gone and see all the presents under the Christmas tree that would say : From Santa. I loved having that excitement, I miss it. If there was ever anything that I could believe in again it would have to be Santa Claus!

Big and Little

Personally I do know people that are either small on the outside and big on the inside or people that are big on the outside and small on the outside. I honestly don't believe that personal appearance relates to personality at all. This is where all of the judge-mental people come in. I think people are almost the exact opposite of what they look like, in some cases people match both their appearance and personality. If your internal beauty was related to your external appearance than a lot of people would be perfect. But then again there would be a lot of not so perfect people as well. These are all things that people don't usually take the time to look at and analyze but they have a big effect on people. It's what makes them them.

Saver or Spender

This world is full of many savers and many spenders. Trust me I love to spend money, but saving it pays off in the long run. I spend money when its necessary but I don't spend it just to spend it. As I grow I believe I will merge a lot more towards a saver. I'm all about logic, and that is logical to me. I believe the younger generation of people is more of a spender, but the more knowledgeable, older people know to save the money. It really depends on the perspective of the person as how they handle money.

My Tribes

I belong to the tribe of school students. And to the tribe of band members. And to the tribe of teenage girls. And to the tribe of hard workers. And to the tribe of taco lovers. And to the tribe of a kind thoughtful person. And to the tribe of helpers. And to the tribe of test takers. And to the tribe of all teenage life. And to the tribe of movie goers. And to the tribe of book worms. And to the tribe of computer junkies. And to the tribe of T.V. watchers. And to the tribe of shoppers. And to the tribe of Christmas lovers.

Extrovert or Introvert

I believe I am some of both! I have some qualities of being an extrovert and some of being an introvert. I would have to say I am mostly a extrovert. I am assertive i certain situations when I need to be, if there is a job needed to be done I will get it done and shove the people that would hold me back out of the way. I indeed am very fond of having company, I don't like being alone. Simple as that, I am an extrovert!

My Own Worst Enemy

I am on the road to success. The road is clean and clear as it is ready for me to travel its ways. I am traveling this road alone, I want to be successful on my own and know I can do it by myself. The end of my road is fulled with many challenges and things for me to do. I first off want to go to college to become a nurse practitioner then find a job in this field. I want to work in a small town somewhere, I haven't decided where yet. I want a family after college when I know what my life plans are at that point because everything is opt to change. I am going to try and make the best out of my life, always make the best of everything and have the "roadblocks" make me stronger. I don't see me having any significant roadblocks, just minor ones. The only thing that could stand in my way would be my career and getting there. I am going to try my best to get myself there in this vision that I want and choose. This is how I want my future to look and as long as I keep wanting it nothing can stop me.

Thought for the Day

 Everyone has emotions, not always are they going to be good. Peoples emotions get hurt and damaged just like physical wounds. Forgiveness is a part of emotions, you have a choice whether to forgive someone or not is up to you. This affects your emotions, but no matter what you should always have positive emotions. You need to not so much forgive but forget what happened in the past. If you dwell on the past it will affect your future.

Life Law 6

Perception is a huge thing in life, it changes a persons opinion of people and such. A certain perception of something can change your thought about it forever. If its a bad one there's going to be a bad opinion. Some perceptions are ignorant and some aren't. This can have a huge influence on life, whether it's bad or good is up to you.

Thought for the Day

Everyone needs encouragement in life, sometimes people just need a little extra push. Everyone has goals or dreams they want to accomplish and if you just go for it and let nothing get in your way you can achieve it. If you don't go for different things in life you wont know what you could of had or what your life would be like then. You could be living that life now so all you need to do is try.

Poem

In Midnight Sleep
IN midnight sleep, of many a face of anguish,
Of the look at first of the mortally wounded—of that indescribable look;
Of the dead on their backs, with arms extended wide,
I dream, I dream, I dream.

I thought this poem was eye catching. I think he is a very descriptive writer, and he uses his imagination. Everyone sees things in a different way and this is how he sees sleep. I would have never thought to view/think of it this way until now. I like his view of things and the way he writes.

Walt Whitman

Walt Whitman is a poet/journalist/essayist/humanist that wrote free verse poetry.
He was a realist, his poem “Leaves of Grass” displays this wonderfully. He was very into his view of things. Most people thought that poem was very controversial and obscene. He told the truth about things and most of the time people hate to hear the truth.

My Favorite Walt Whitman Poem

O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN! Walt Whitman (1819-1892)
O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
   But O heart! heart! heart!
      O the bleeding drops of red,
         Where on the deck my Captain lies,
            Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up--for you the flag is flung--for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths--for you the shores
     a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
   Here Captain! dear father!
      This arm beneath your head!
         It is some dream that on the deck
            You've fallen cold and dead.

My captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
   Exult, O shores, and ring O bells!
      But I, with mournful tread,
         Walk the deck my Captain lies,
            Fallen cold and dead.

Preparing Food

Yes, nowadays food has become a lot easier to prepare. Things come pre-cooked and all they need is warmed up. Now whether this has improved the way people live is up for debate. Food being a lot easier to make makes people lazier. Like most hams come pre-cooked. There is not as much preparation for the cook. Sometimes yes it may have helped improved the way people live and other days it hasn't. I don't think it has, now people are getting lazier and lazier. Sometimes the food being easier to prepare makes things a lot easier but not all the time.

Sophomore Year

This year I hope to maintain great grades, and to study more then ever. This year we have had a lot more homework then I thought we would have. Classes are more difficult but I hope that this teaches me to stay on top of homework and to keep my grades up. Those are my goals for this school year.
