Walt Whitman is a
poet/journalist/essayist/humanist that wrote free verse poetry.
He was a realist, his poem “Leaves
of Grass” displays this wonderfully. He was very into his view of
things. Most people thought that poem was very controversial and
obscene. He told the truth about things and most of the time people
hate to hear the truth.
