My Sisters Keeper

If I were Judge DeSalvo I would have had a though time with this case. I would have had a hard time trying to figure out which way I should rule the case. But I believe in the end I would have ruled the same direction the book took it. That Anna would be medically emancipated from her parents. I would have made that decision because she has the say over what she does and does not give Kate. She could still donate everything to Kate but it would be her decision and not her parents. I do understand that Sara is just in this to protect her sick daughter, I don't think she is a terrible person for going against Anna and not just let her do what she wants. She didn't know the whole story until the end of the trial. Anna and Campbell have so much in common, they are the same type of people. They are both very independent and neither of them have complete control over their body. They developed a close relationship throughout the book. Campbell just wanted what was best for her. It was like he was fighting for the rights to his body through Anna. He knew what she was going through and how it felt, I believe that is why this case was so important to him.
